An exhibition of visual art work and poetry by people incarcerated in
immigration detention. Within the detention industry people are called by
numbers, not names. This exhibition celebrates individual histories,
stories and identity. Here, art making is a matter of survival, of
resistance and reclamation of self.
The work has been sent from Nauru, Manus Island, Christmas Island and the
mainland of Australia.
Painting, drawing, sculpture, visual poems and recorded poetry readings.
