Mired in controversy- the unearthing of these Mickey mouse artefacts at an undisclosed location near Castlemaine Victoria, Australia, continues to muddy the waters of our Colonial past, and indeed the time before that narrative was written.
It's an unbelievable story, I mean it does beggar belief.
But it is an undeniable fact that these objects DO exist, and that someone put them there. There is more truth in these statements than in much of the Colonial story we still tell ourselves. I am delighted to be able to offer a substantial, nearly intact example from this this controversial hoard , and I thank and congratulate the Castlemaine Fringe Festival organisers for having the courage to support this important project.
