Children's fancy dress parties have been an ongoing theme for me. I like to capture the nostalgia, excitement and joy of a former era. 'Party for Maisie' shows the subject is happy to be the star of her own birthday party. First painted in sepia then building up coloured glazes to gain the effect that I was after. 45cm x 45cm.
