A community-sourced exhibition of imaginative merkins. Historically, pubic wigs (merkins) were worn to hide scars from STDs or to replicate hair that was removed to avoid lice. Merkins are still used today on films sets.

Every night as the sun goes down the Wimble Street wall next to the Northern Arts Hotel comes to life. Frank Veldze creates images that are quirky, poignant and often mesmerising. Whether it’s washing machines self-imploding or Surfers hanging ten above the cars.
