Visit Calan Stanley in his home studio for a rare opportunity to purchase recent still life and landscape oil paintings. His work is vibrant, directly painted and focuses on tone, texture and colour. 50% of any works sold during Fringe will be donated to GIVIT to help people in need.

Meticulous drawing is the basis for Catherine’s practice encompassing lithographs, drawings and sometimes textiles – with absence, contemporary still life and historical narratives influencing her subject matter. Catherine has exhibited widely since 1994, when she returned to Australia after studying in Washington DC.

CERAMICS

Fluxed earth is the collaborative ceramic practice of Rye Senjen and Kirstie Murdoch.Our current focus is on vessels with highly textured surfaces referencing insect activity and fungal and plant growth patterns, and sculptural works reflecting on ancient protectors and ritual vessels.

CASTLEMAINE WALKS

Richard Hollis and Michael Rigg are mixed media Intuitive artists inspired by nature, shapes, colour and life. Exhibition showcases landscapes of Castlemaine, Central Victoria and the desert regions of Australia. Art journals, preparatory drawings and studies are included in the exhibition.

We create using various techniques, dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, silversmithing. We use a variety of materials, silk, wool, glass, metal, wood and more. Inspired by our conversations, the rural environment of Taradale, life experiences and the material itself to create and explore.

Clayton Tremlett is a renowned contemporary artist/printmaker who exhibits regularly in public and regional galleries. He is distinguished for his linocut portraiture; however, he also works with etching and screen printing to produce wallpapers, artist’s books, installations and editioned prints.

Kate is a multi-disciplinary artist, working from her studio amidst the beautiful Muckleford Forest. Kate works with paint, multimedia and embroidery. Inspired by her experience with nature and emotion, Kate explores this in small, intimate pieces and large shouts of colour and shape.

Sarah Fowler’s work is created entirely by hand, the passion for design and fine crafstmanship has given her a reputation for superb quality. Sarah uses traditional silversmithing techniques to create jewellery that is boldly contemporary and embedded in fundamental techniques and timeless influences.
